The Little Singers of Monaco were founded in 1974 by His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III, who called them his little singing ambassadors. Now known as The Monaco Boys Choir, the ensemble comprises around 30 boys, ages 9 to 16, and is a member of the Maîtrise de la Cathédrale de Monaco, founded in 1904, and regularly perform their musical programs at special events.
Under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince, and supported by the Princely Government, the Choir also contribute to the artistic influence of the Principality around the world on their many international concert tours. Since 1974, they have visited more than 40 countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Africa.
In 2023, the Choir marks their 12th tour in the USA and, to date, they have performed in more than 20 states. This year the tour is more poignant as it it dedicated to the memory of their founder, Prince Rainier, in the centennial year of his birth. The Choir has appeared at many prestigious U.S. venues including New York’s Yankee Stadium at a game opening, Bryant Park, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the Kravis Center in Palm Beach, as well as numerous national TV programs.
Its Summer 2023 USA Tour includes concerts at St. Bartholomew’s in collaboration with the Consulate General of Monaco in New York, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Georgia, and Florida.
